Years ago I spotted an olive green Money Clip with Eddie Bauer logo somewhere online, possibly on SAKWiki. I never found one for sale so eventually I stopped searching. But a while back, after having been on a “SAK Break” for a few months, I stumbled upon one by accident. They are pretty uncommon so I’m pretty happy with this one. It’s a nice shade of green.
One step closer to a complete collection of all 74mm scale colors and variations.
I mainly collect 74mm and 91mm SAKs, but somehow I now own more 93mm alox SAKs than I thought I would. I have bought and sold/traded several more in the past (including a 2010 Damascus Pioneer, colored Classics, Farmers and Cadets, and of course a million Dutch Army Knives), and there is a mint old cross Pioneer in a sealed display case that is not in the picture.
I’m not an expert on 93mm SAKs but these are: green Farmer, black Pioneer with red shield, Swiss Bianco (+B) Pioneer in Apocalypse Green, +B gold First Mate, Syph007 custom HA black Pioneer with scissors, pocket clip, red anodized liners and Black Oxide tools, Syph007 custom HA matte gray Pioneer with scissors and brass liners and a regular Soldier (08).
I recently found this red old cross Pioneer in a hardware store near where I live. The blade is stamped 97; probably an overstock blade from a 1997 Soldier. This knife had probably been in that store’s display for years.
Another custom by Syph007. Matte gray anodized scales, brass liners and spacer, scissors with custom backspring. Highly polished.
Check out this custom made Pioneer with scissors, hard anodized scales and liners, black oxide tools, custom torx screws and a stainless steel pocket clip. Made by a Canadian guy named Syph007. He even makes his own custom backsprings for the scissors layer!
